IGNOU BSc Nursing Admission 2026-27
IGNOU introduced the Post Basic BSc Nursing degree programme. It is 3 years bachelor’s degree in the field of nursing. Interested candidates apply for this course for the January session 2026-27. The main goal of this programme is to provide opportunities for knowledge and to upgrade their skills to meet the changing health needs of society. Important note that admission is based on the entrance exam and Counseling for qualified students. The online application form for IGNOU PBSc will be available on IGNOU Official website www.ignounursing.samarth.edu.in.
Note: Candidates with 10+2 and GNM must not apply if experience after RNRM is less than two years. Candidates with 10th class and GNM must not apply if having less than 5 years experience after RNRM.

IGNOU BSc Nursing Programme Fees
IGNOU Post Basic BSc Nursing course programme fee is ₹23,000 per annum per student. This amount is subject to revision as per institutional policies. Candidates should NOT pay the programme fee while submitting the online (OPENNET) application or entrance form. The registration fee must be deposited and uploaded with the online application. Detailed instructions regarding counseling and programme fee payment will be provided separately.
IGNOU Post Basic Nursing Admission Process
- Head over to ignounursing.samarth.edu.in to begin your IGNOU Post Basic BSc Nursing 2026 admission journey.
- Click on the “New Registration” link and sign up by providing a valid email ID, mobile number, and other required personal information.
- After successful registration, you’ll receive your username and password via email for accessing the Nursing admission portal.
- Log in using the provided credentials to open the IGNOU Nursing student dashboard and access the online application form.
- Fill in all necessary details, including your personal and educational background, and upload scanned documents in JPG and PDF formats.
- Pay the application fee online, submit the form, and keep an eye on your email for the admit card and entrance exam date update.
IGNOU Post BSc Nursing Entrance Test
Candidates will be required to apply/submit their Entrance Test Form through online portal at www.ignou.ac.in.
- Entrance test will be conducted on a scheduled date as decided by the university, in the centres identified fromallover the country. Information will be available on IGNOU website.
- Admit card for the Entrance test will be uploaded on IGNOU website or portal where you registered for entrance test.
- Entrance test will comprise 120 multiple choice questions (comprising section A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H) (bearing one mark each) drawn from various subjects taught in GNM
- Duration of the test will be two and a half hours.
