KU Nainital offers admission to several courses from foundation courses to vocational courses to Diploma courses to UG & PG courses and PhD courses. It follows an advanced comprehensive curriculum. Admission to UG courses like BBA, BCA, B.COM, and BSC and PG courses including MBA, MCA, M.COM, M.SC, etc are primarily based on merit.

Other specific courses include a list of BEd, LLB, LLM, and integrated LLB and these required courses are mainly conducted through Uttarakhand state combined entrance test. Additionally, Uttarakhand State eligibility test (U-SET) is also conducted by the Nainital University for the candidates seeking for PH.d courses.

Key features of Kumaun University PhD Admission & Entrance Test

• This PhD course consists mainly of two papers.
• Paper 1 assesses General Teaching Aptitude. Whereas, Paper 2 is subject-specific.
• The application fee is INR 1400 for the general category and INR 840 for SC/ST/OBC candidates. The fee can be paid online or SBI challan.
• The student can complete the online application after fee payment.
• Candidates must complete the online application after fee payment and the exams will be held across 16 cities.
• The result will be based on the top 6% of candidates who meet the required aggregate marks.

Eligibility Criteria of Kumaun University Admission 2026

• UG Courses: Interested students should have completed 12th class from a recognized board and must have obtained 45-50% marks. And the students must have studied the specific subject relevant to the course they choose.
• PG Courses: Those students who graduated from a recognized university with 50% marks are eligible for Kumaun University PG admission. However, the detailed eligibility may very for specific course.
